Swelling and redness are normal after microneedling treatments. It will most likely persist for at least 24 – 48 hours. Even with proper aftercare, there isn't much you can do to get rid of the redness immediately after the procedure, so be patient. Also for 3-5 days after to microneedling treatment refrain from using products with actives i.e. salicylic, retinol, vitamin c, glycolic acid etc (meaning no active ingredients in your skin care routine) just use a gentle cleanser and wear sunscreen.
