Brow PMU Microshading is a procedure where a cosmetic technician applies semipermanent makeup to your eyebrows. It's a type of cosmetic tattoo procedure. Using pigment ink and a handheld tool, the technician places tiny, pin-like dots over the brow area to fill in thin spots. (Great for more sensitive skin types)
How Long Does Microshading Last? Depending on your skin type, the results can last up to 3 years . (Oily skin types may need a touchup sooner than drier skin types.
Will my eyebrows grow back after microshading?
We do not go that deep into the skin to stop hair growth. We are crafting a brow shape and we are filling in your brow with pigment. You will still need to maintain your brow hair as it will continue to grow as it does normally.
What to expect after?
Because microshading is essentially a tattoo, Shuki says you can expect to experience itchiness, redness, puffiness, and swelling immediately after treatment. Pain and discomfort are relative, but it doesn't feel great. You may feel pressure as the technician is applying the ink, and you may feel sore afterward depending. Right after microshading, you'll notice the area being a bit swollen and red.
PMU Aftercare
To ensure that you get the best microshading results, you will need to follow our aftercare instructions to take care of the treatment area. We advise that you may continually tweeze the unruly hairs to keep them in shape but should avoid waxing as this will make them lose color faster. Since you won’t be cleansing your skin frequently, here’s how to care for it:
• Avoid getting your brow wet 24 hours after the treatment( Only Blot With A Wipe)
• Always wash and clean your hands before touching your skin
• Avoid vigorous activities that’ll cause you to sweat or have direct contact with water for a week
• Avoid UV and sun rays until your skin is fully healed
• Apply aftercare serum ( A& D or Vaseline) to heal the redness of your skin. For best results, use it daily or as needed.
• Don’t use harsh exfoliants and substances to wash your face
24 hours after the procedure
• Avoid applying makeup products on the microshaded brows until the brows are fully healed
During the post-treatment period and final session, you may experience fading of the brow and some skin peeling. This will be very noticeable but perfectly normal. After a while, your skin will regenerate and will appear natural again. We recommend that you attend your
touch-up session which is usually scheduled between four to six weeks after the first treatment ( Cost $150)
To achieve the best results, you should follow the process accordingly.
